Description

Domus is in search of a dedicated Service Manager for a leading provider of care, to join a residential care setting supporting adults with Learning disabilities, Autism, Mental health needs, and Complex care requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a skilled team and make a real difference in people’s lives.

The Role:

As Service Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager and a second Service Manager to ensure the smooth and effective running of the service. You will lead, mentor, and inspire a team of staff while maintaining the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead by example, promoting safe and effective working practices.

Support, mentor, and develop staff through supervision, appraisals, and coaching.

Develop, implement, and review person-centred support plans and risk management plans.

Conduct audits of care documentation, health action plans, and risk assessments.

Act as a point of contact for residents, families, and staff.

Investigate complaints, incidents, and concerns.

Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures, company policies, and regulatory standards.

Maintain accurate records in line with data protection legislation.

Conduct health & safety and lone-working risk assessments.

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs.

Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or working towards Level 5).

Experience managing staff, including rotas, appraisals, and disciplinary processes.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.

Person-centred approach with the ability to “see the person behind the behaviour.”
