An excellent opportunity for a Project & Office Support Administrator to join a well-established company

Job Type: Full-Time – Permanent.

Salary: Up to £26,325.00 per year £13.50 per hour

Location: Durham, North East England.

The company is a fast‑growing specialist in fire protection. Their friendly, collaborative culture is the backbone of their success, and are now looking for an additional, organised Project & Office Support Administrator to help them deliver the next stage of their growth.

Purpose of the role

Reporting to the Office Manager, you will provide high‑quality administrative, analytical and project support to both our office‑based and field teams, ensuring jobs and projects run smoothly, data is captured, interrogated and communicated with precision.

Key responsibilities

Project administration - collate information for quotations, progress reports and handover packs, and update project logs.
Customer and team liaison - act as the first point of contact for telephone and email enquiries.
Document control - create, file and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Data management and reporting - research, interrogate and present data with meticulous attention to detail, transforming raw numbers into actionable insights that drive decision‑making.
Systems and workflow improvement - contribute to the development of processes, templates and checklists that drive efficiency across the business.
General administration and customer service - carry out any other duties commensurate with the role and a busy, professional office environment.

About you

Proven success in a fast‑paced office environment, ideally within construction, engineering or facilities management.
NVQ (or equivalent) in Business Administration, or significant relevant experience.
Demonstrable expertise in document control and electronic filing systems.
Naturally analytical with laser‑sharp attention to detail; you enjoy translating data into practical improvements.
Confident multitasker with outstanding organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient user of Microsoft 365, especially Excel; experience with project management tools such as Fieldwire is a plus, but willing to quickly learn systems and programmes is absolute must!
Positive “can‑do” attitude, dependable and comfortable taking ownership of tasks through to completion.
