Graduate Town Planner

Location: Gatwick Area (Office-based with flexibility)

Sector: Planning Consultancy

We are working with a well-established and growing planning consultancy to recruit a Graduate Town Planner for their office near Gatwick. This is an excellent opportunity for a planning graduate to begin their career within a supportive, commercially aware consultancy offering structured training and exposure to a broad range of development projects.

The Role

As a Graduate Town Planner, you will work closely with experienced planners and directors, gaining hands-on experience across the full planning lifecycle. The role offers strong mentoring, responsibility from an early stage, and clear progression toward professional qualification.

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications

Supporting site appraisals, planning research and policy analysis

Drafting Planning Statements and supporting documents

Liaising with local planning authorities, clients and external consultants

Monitoring planning applications and contributing to project delivery

About You

To be considered, you should have:

A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline

A strong interest in development and the UK planning system

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A proactive, organised approach and willingness to learn

Eligibility or intent to work toward MRTPI accreditation xjnqpsq
