The Payroll Team Leader will oversee payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing while maintaining compliance with regulations. This role in the business services industry requires strong leadership and payroll expertise in the accounting and finance department.

Description

The Payroll Team Leader role is initially a 12 month contract and will be hybrid working- 3 days in office/2 days remote- Reporting to the Head of Payroll Key responsibilities will include:

Manage and oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, including tax and pension contributions.

Review and approve payroll reports, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to support month-end and year-end processes.

Lead and mentor the payroll team, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payroll operations.

Stay updated on payroll legislation and communicate changes to the team as needed.Profile

In order to apply for the role you should:

Have previous experience as a Payroll Specialist looking to take the next step or be an experienced Payroll Supervisor

Be able to commute 3 days per week to Macclesfield office
