Senior Pensions Administrator - Defined Contribution (DC)

Hybrid Working FTSE 250 Consultancy - nearest tube Charing Cross

This a wonderful opportunity to join a prominent and rapidly growing UK consultancy specialising in pensions and insurance. Our client is a FTSE 250 company with over 2,000 employees, who support thousand of pension schemes and their members. As a Senior Pensions Administrator, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality administration services across trust-based company pension schemes, with a specific focus on Defined Contribution (DC) arrangements. The scheme-based team structure means you will work end-to-end on your allocated schemes, fostering strong client relationships while delivering a seamless service.

You'll support the development of the team, apply your technical expertise, and ensure exceptional service delivery to both clients and members.

Key Responsibilities

Train, support, and mentor less experienced team membersCheck and authorise work produced by the administration teamAdminister and calculate member benefits in line with scheme RulesMaintain accurate member records and scheme documentationApply knowledge of benefit structures, Trust Deed & Rules, pensions legislation, disclosure requirements, and regulatory standardsWork collaboratively with clients, actuaries, consultants, providers, payroll teams, members, and third partiesHandle member enquiries confidently via phone, email, and letterAssist with project work as allocated by the Team Leader or ManagerMaintain compliance with ISO and AAF accreditation standardsPrioritise workload effectively to meet deadlinesProvide both written and verbal technical guidanceAdapt to evolving business needs and undertake related duties as requiredThe person:

Previous experience in a similar role, specifically with Defined Contribution (DC) schemesStrong background in pensions administrationHighly organised, methodical, and accountableStrong communication skills with a customer-focused mindsetAbility to develop colleagues and drive high standardsProactive, adaptable, and solutions-orientedStrong attention to detailConfident user of MS Office, especially Excel and WordA positive, can-do attitude with pride in your work

Qualifications

GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/5 or above) or equivalentA-Level (or equivalent) preferred-but significant relevant experience also consideredStudying for, or willing to study for, a pensions qualification (CPC/QPA/DPC/RPC/APMI)What is on offer
