Description
My Local Government client is looking to recruit a permanent Senior Finance Officer to join their experienced and transforming finance team. Working in the Education and Schools Finance Team, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality financial services across Education and Schools across the Borough.
Working as part of a professional and supportive finance team, you will support the delivery of a range of financial processes and activities across Education and Schools, helping to ensure the effective management of education-related funding and resources.
Responsibilities will include:
Provide financial support and advice to education and schools services.Co-ordinate financial returns, reconciliations and year-end processes.Support budget monitoring, forecasting and financial reporting.Respond to queries and liaise with schools and other stakeholders.Contribute to the delivery of an efficient and effective finance service.Take ownership of specific finance processes to ensure all officers are appropriately trained able to carry out these processes in a consistent and efficient manner
To be considered for the role you will need to be a minimum of part qualified CCAB accountant, with some previous
experience in Local Government finance. Schools or Education finance would be an advantage.
The role is being offered on a hybrid basis with circa 1 day in the office each week and with a salary range of 44,184 to 47,262.
