Senior Accountant AND Semi-Senior Accountant

A long standing accountancy practice is looking to recruit both a Senior Accountant and Semi-Senior Accountant to join its team based in Derby. Working with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, the firm offers a broad range of accounting and taxation services and prides itself on providing proactive, personal support to its clients.

Main Responsibilities

Responsibilities will be dependent on the level of the successful candidate but may include:

Preparing and finalising statutory accounts and tax returnsPreparing accounts for owner-managed businessesBookkeeping using cloud-based accounting softwarePreparing and submitting VAT returnsDealing with client queries and providing practical accounting supportManaging client work and supporting Client Managers where appropriateReviewing work and mentoring junior team members at Senior Accountant levelSupporting clients with day-to-day accounting requirements, business growth and tax planningGetting involved with Making Tax Digital bookkeeping and reporting
