Description

Payroll Specialist

Location: York

Ashley Kate HR & Finance are partnering with our valued client in the search for an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage and deliver accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services. You will also support HR systems and data processes, helping drive efficiency and informed decision-making across People Services.

Key responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end payroll processing and act as liaison with the external payroll providerEnsure compliance with payroll legislation (PAYE, NI, statutory payments, holiday pay, etc.)Administer maternity, sick pay, and other leave entitlementsMaintain payroll systems, including upgrades, testing, and data accuracyConduct audits, reconciliations, and implement pay awards and contractual changesManage pension administration, including auto-enrolment and contributionsProvide expert advice to staff and managers on payroll and pensionsSupport HR systems, reporting, and data analysisAssist wider People Services activities, including recruitment and employee recordsAbout you:

Proven payroll experience with strong legislative knowledgeHigh attention to detail and strong analytical skillsExperience with HR/payroll systemsStrong communication and organisational skillsAble to handle confidential information with integrityTo apply, please submit your CV and a supporting statement outlining your suitability for the role.
