You will be joining a well-established and growing manufacturing organisation based in Cardiff. Operating within a fast-paced operational environment, the business has built a strong reputation within its sector and continues to invest in both its people and processes.Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join the finance team and play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting operational decision-making and driving continuous improvement across the business.Your new role

Reporting into senior finance leadership, this is a broad and commercially focused Management Accountant position offering exposure to both financial and operational performance.You will be responsible for producing management information, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, maintaining strong financial controls and providing insight to support business decision-making.Key responsibilities will include:

Preparation of monthly management accountsPosting journals, accruals, prepayments and depreciationBalance sheet reconciliations and month-end reportingInvestigation and explanation of financial variancesFixed asset and leasing accountingCashflow forecasting and analysisSupporting annual budgets and periodic forecastsAssisting with group reporting requirementsPreparation of management information and KPI reportingSupporting external audit processesWorking closely with operational teams to improve financial performanceIdentifying and implementing process improvements across the finance functionProviding support and guidance to junior finance team membersWhat you'll need to succeed

Previous experience in a Management Accountant positionExperience producing full monthly management accountsStrong month-end accounting knowledgeExperience posting journals, accruals and prepaymentsExcellent balance sheet reconciliation skillsStrong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUPAbility to analyse financial data and explain variancesStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsA proactive and commercially minded approachQualificationsApplications are welcomed from:
