SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established and highly successful business in Derbyshire who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant looking for a broad and commercially focused position, with responsibility for producing and interpreting financial information to support key business decisions. The role will also involve supervising members of the transactional finance team and working closely with senior management across the business.

The Role

Producing monthly management accounts and management reporting for a designated area of the business

Preparing and maintaining accurate job costing information

Maintaining stock and work in progress records

Producing operating budgets, forecasts and cash flow forecasts

Supervising a team of ledger clerks and managing their workloads

Reviewing and implementing effective internal controls and finance procedures

Providing financial information and analysis to support commercial decision making

Attending board and management meetings when required and responding to financial queries

Supporting the wider finance team with additional projects and continuous improvement

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience within a Management Accountant or similar role

Strong management accounting and month-end experience

Experience of job costing, stock and WIP would be highly advantageous

Strong Excel skills and good overall systems knowledge

Confident communicating financial information to senior stakeholders

Previous supervisory or team management experience would be beneficial

Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills

Proactive, commercially minded and confident in identifying and resolving issues
