About the Role

We are hiring on behalf of our client for a Junior Accountant to join their finance team. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong numerical skills and attention to detail who wants to begin or develop their career in accounting.

You’ll support day-to-day financial operations, gain exposure to accounting systems, and assist senior colleagues with reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist with bookkeeping and maintaining financial records

* Support the preparation of monthly and annual accounts

* Process invoices, receipts, and payments

* Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow

* Help prepare financial reports for management and auditors

* Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Requirements:

* Strong numerical and analytical ability

* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software is a plus

* High attention to detail and accuracy

* Organised and reliable with good communication skills

* AAT, ACCA, or similar qualification (studying towards or planning to) is desirable but not required

* Up to 1–2 years’ finance/admin experience welcome, but graduates and school leavers with the right aptitude will be considered
