Incomes Receivable Manager

Hays Accountancy & Finance are supporting a growing organisation through a period of transformation and change. Due to increased workload and a focus on improving cash flow and financial controls, they are seeking an experienced Income Receivables Manager to join their finance team on a 3-5 month temporary basis.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable or Credit Control professional to provide support to the receivables function, drive cash collections and support key finance initiatives within a complex organisation.

Your new role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the income and receivables function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debt, accurate revenue reporting and continuous improvement across processes and controls.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing the end-to-end Accounts Receivable, billing and credit control functionDriving cash collections and reducing aged debt balancesManaging sales ledger reconciliations and ensuring accurate revenue reportingPreparing cash collection forecasts and debtor analysisMonitoring and reporting on key credit control KPIs, including Debtor Days and DSOManaging disputed invoices and resolving complex customer queriesBuilding strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve collection performanceProducing management information and reporting packs for senior finance stakeholdersSupporting month-end and year-end reporting requirementsIdentifying and implementing process improvements and automation opportunitiesDeveloping and maintaining receivables procedures, controls and process documentationManaging credit risk and ensuring compliance with financial policies and proceduresSupporting wider finance projects and transformation initiatives as requiredWhat you'll need to succeed

Significant experience within Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or Income ManagementPrevious experience managing or leading a receivables functionStrong track record of reducing aged debt and improving cash collection performanceExperience working within a Shared Service Centre or large finance function would be advantageousExcellent stakeholder management and negotiation skillsStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial dataAdvanced Excel and finance systems experienceACCA, CIMA, CICM qualification or active studies desirableAbility to work independently in a fast-paced and changing environment
