Group Technical Accounting Manager

Description

A leading global organisation is looking for a Group Technical Accounting Manager to provide expert technical guidance and ensure best-in-class financial reporting across its international operations.

This is a high-impact role where you'll shape group accounting policies, lead acquisition accounting and purchase price allocation, and support complex cross-border transactions that drive the business forward

Responsibilities for the role:

Lead group-wide technical accounting projects, including acquisition accounting, PPA, impairment assessments, provisions, leases and financial instrumentsMaintain and update group accounting policies, ensuring full IFRS alignment and delivering training to regional teamsTrack and communicate new IFRS standards quarterlyProvide ad-hoc technical support, preparing technical papers and documenting key judgementsSupport continuous improvement of accounting quality across global reporting teamsAct as a key point of contact for external auditors on technical mattersPartner with FP&A, commercial finance, and systems teams to embed technical requirementsSupport audit processes, including technical disclosures within consolidated financial statementsBuild strong relationships with tax, treasury, legal and regional finance teamsUphold safeguarding responsibilities and contribute to a positive wellbeing culture Requirements for the role:

ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) with at least five years' post-qualification experience out of auditStrong technical accounting background, including acquisition accounting and impairment testingExperience working in large, complex, or multinational environmentsExposure to multicurrency consolidations (advantageous)Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skillsHigh attention to detail and strong proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPointConfident presentation skills for delivering training and technical updatesAbility to work effectively with both internal teams and external advisors Robert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
