What will you be doing as a Financial Controller?

Working in a stand-alone Financial Controller role, reporting to the Group Finance Manager based overseas, you will be responsible for all aspects of the finance function for a large manufacturing company. Duties will include:

Managing and maintaining the reporting requirements and both management and statutory accountsPreparing monthly and annual financial reports for management reviewMonitoring cash flow and supporting short- and medium-term forecastingBudget preparation and variance analysisDeveloping and maintaining financial controlsStaff management, development and mentoring of staff in accounts receivable and payable functionsProcessing payroll, ensuring accuracy and complianceMaintaining accurate financial records and documentationCompleting year-end accounts preparation and statutory reportingLiaising with external accountants, auditors and HMRCSupporting with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting

We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

Previous experience in a similar Financial Controller or Finance manager role within a commercial environment, ideally a manufacturing or engineering company although this is not essentialHighly skilled dealing with cash flow and budgetingDetailed knowledge of management and statutory accountingExperience dealing with a turnover of between GBP10 million and GBP100 million paFully qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACAA proven track record of adding value in a fast paced environmentExperience of managing payroll processesStaff management experienceThe ability to work a fast paced environmentStrong skills in Excel with the ability to use VLOOKUPs and pivot tablesAble to work in a fast paced environmentThe ability to deal with a variety of contacts and colleagues, including overseas
