We are seeking a proactive, dynamic, and experienced Finance Manager to oversee finance operations within a manufacturing facility.

Skills, Experience, and education required:

Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) (Desirable) Previous experience as a Finance Manager Proven experience in a manufacturing finance role (Desirable) Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management and manufacturing KPIs Experience preparing management accounts and budgets Good working knowledge of UK VAT and payroll Experience with ERP systems (Desirable)

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Financial Control & Reporting

Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow Manage budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with UK accounting standards Maintain robust financial controls and procedures Manufacturing Finance & Costing

Manage product costing, standard costing and margin analysis Monitor manufacturing variances (materials, labour, overheads) and investigate discrepancies Support operational teams with cost control, efficiency improvements and waste reduction Oversee inventory valuation, stock reconciliations and cycle counts Cash Flow & Working Capital

Manage cash flow forecasting and daily cash position Oversee credit control, accounts receivable and accounts payable Monitor working capital, including inventory levels and supplier payment terms Payroll

Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees Ensure payroll complies with UK PAYE, NIC, pension auto-enrolment, and statutory payments Maintain payroll records, including starters, leavers, pay changes, overtime, and bonuses Act as point of contact for payroll queries from employees Liaise with external payroll providers if applicable Systems & Process Improvement

Maintain and improve finance systems, including ERP or manufacturing accounting systems Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy and control Support implementation of new systems or reporting tools Team Leadership

Manage, develop and support the finance team Ensure workload is prioritised and deadlines are met Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement
