Job Title: Credit Controller

Location: Gloucester (Office–based)

Salary: Up to GBP32,000 DOE

We're recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a well–established and growing organisation based in Gloucester.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic finance team that prides itself on collaboration, culture, and commitment to excellence.

You'll be joining a friendly and supportive team of seven experienced credit controllers, working closely with the wider finance department which includes both finance and accounts professionals. This role offers variety, ownership, and the chance to make a real impact on the company's cash flow and financial operations.

Credit Controller Responsibilities

Manage and monitor customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments Proactively chase overdue invoices via phone and email Build strong relationships with customers to resolve queries and maintain goodwill Work closely with internal teams to investigate and resolve billing or payment issues Maintain accurate and up–to–date records of communications and account statuses Produce aged debtor reports and share insights with the finance leadership team Support with account reconciliations and allocation of incoming payments Contribute to continuous improvement of credit control processes Assist with ad–hoc finance tasks when needed Credit Controller Profile:

Previous experience in a credit control role, ideally within a mid–sized or fast–paced organisation Confident communicator with a proactive and phone–first approach to collections Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data management Collaborative team player who is also comfortable working independently Comfortable using finance or ERP systems and Microsoft Excel A positive and professional approach with a focus on problem–solving Benefits:
