Overview

We are supporting a high-performing, established organisation in the appointment of a Senior Commercial Finance Manager.

This is a commercially focused finance position within a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment, working closely with senior operational and commercial stakeholders to understand performance, improve profitability and support key business decisions.

The role offers exposure well beyond traditional management accounting, with responsibility across commercial analysis, cost management, forecasting, profitability and operational finance.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of management reporting, forecasting and short-term performance analysisPartner with operational and commercial stakeholders to identify trends and improve financial performanceAnalyse margins, cost movements, product profitability and operational performanceProvide insight to support pricing, product mix, efficiency and cost-reduction initiativesOversee product costing, inventory accounting, stock valuation and CapEx analysisProvide financial analysis and challenge around commercial agreements and customer profitabilityTranslate financial performance into clear, actionable insight for non-finance stakeholdersDrive improvements across reporting, controls, dashboards, processes and systems Key Requirements

Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)Strong management accounting experience combined with commercial finance exposureProven experience across budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and performance reportingStrong understanding of costing, inventory, margins and operational financeConfident stakeholder manager with the ability to challenge and influence at all levelsAdvanced Excel and strong financial systems capabilityExperience within FMCG, manufacturing, food, production or another high-volume operational environment highly desirable
