Assistant Management Accountant

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in the South Rotherham area, a company we have worked closely with over a number of years.

Due to continued growth and increased workload within the finance function, they are now looking to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team and support the Financial Controller.

The Role

Working closely with the Financial Controller, the Assistant Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance operations and monthly reporting processes.

Duties will include:

Assisting with preparation of monthly management accountsProducing journals, accruals, and prepaymentsBank and balance sheet reconciliationsSupporting month-end and year-end processesAssisting with budgeting and forecastingVAT returns and compliance dutiesProviding support across purchase and sales ledger when requiredWorking with operational teams across the business to support financial reporting

About You

The successful candidate is likely to be:

Experience within a similar type of roleConfident with Excel and finance systemsOrganised with strong attention to detailAble to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamLooking to progress and develop within a supportive finance function
