Axon Moore is delighted to be partnering with a growing and well-established business based in North Manchester, who are looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking hands-on exposure across finance, working closely with a high-calibre Finance Director who offers genuine 1-to-1 mentorship. As the business continues to grow, there is real scope for development and progression.

The role will also play a key part in improving finance processes and supporting the rollout of a new finance system, making it ideal for someone who enjoys getting involved, taking ownership, and helping drive positive change. There is a real opportunity here to climb the career ladder very quickly!

Location: North Manchester

Salary: 28,000 - 35,000 + Study Support

Main Responsibilities:

Managing the purchase ledger, including supplier reconciliations and payment runsMaintaining the cashbook, completing bank reconciliations, and processing expensesSupporting payroll, including timesheet processing and cost allocationsAssisting with month-end close activitiesContributing to finance system and process improvementsAd-hoc tasks contributing to your growth providing you with exposure Ideal candidate:

Previous experience in a finance assistant roleComfortable working with transactional finance processesProactive, hands-on, and keen to learnStrong attention to detail and good organisational skillsConfident to drive processes forward and think of better/new ways workingConfident using finance systems and Excel
