Accounts Payable Assistant (part time 24hrs / week)

This is a part-time, office-based role, working up to 24 hours per week and is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working across departments to keep financial operations running smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing

Processing supplier invoices and credit notes in Sage 50, across multiple currenciesMatching purchase orders and invoices for approval and paymentReconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepanciesManaging credit card transactions and employee expense claimsAllocating costs to projects and codes - project accounting is central to this rolePreparing weekly and monthly payment runs (BACS and international)Supporting month-end close activities, including accruals and reportingLiaising with suppliers and internal teams to keep everything on track

What You'll Bring

Proven experience in Accounts PayableStrong working knowledge of Sage 50 and ExcelFamiliarity with job costing and project-based accountingA keen eye for detail and a proactive mindsetGreat communication skills and a collaborative spiritUnderstanding of VAT rules and HMRC compliance

Bonus Points If You Have

AAT qualification (or working towards it)Experience in construction, engineering, or project-led industriesUsed expense management systems like Expensify or Webexpenses
