Role: Accountant – 6-Month FTC (potential to extend)

Salary: £35k – £37.5k

Location: Bickenhill/ Birmingham

Hybrid – 2/3 days from home

Are you an experienced Accountant ready to hit the ground running in a supportive, hybrid working environment? We're recruiting on behalf of a leading business in Solihull, looking for an extra pair of hands in their finance team during a busy period.

The Role:

This is a hands-on accounting role supporting a high-performing Record-to-Report (R2R) team. You’ll work across a range of core finance tasks, including:

• Posting journals and ensuring accurate month-end entries

• Balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies

• Ad hoc financial analysis and project support across the wider team

• Supporting internal controls (SOX) and audit processes

• Partnering with business units to provide clear, insightful financial reporting

• You’ll be joining a friendly, collaborative team where your attention to detail and proactive attitude will be genuinely valued.

What We’re Looking For:

• Part or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

• Strong journal preparation and reconciliation experience

• Good working knowledge of accounting principles

• Confident handling large volumes of data – Excel skills essential

• Comfortable working to tight deadlines and prioritising workload

• SAP and BlackLine experience is a bonus
