Accountant - Contract Opportunity (Hybrid)

Location: Central Belt, Scotland

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 5-7 months

Day Rate: 375- 400 (Inside IR35, via PAYE Umbrella)

Hours: 37 per week

What you'll be doing

Managing month-end close activities with precision and efficiencyPreparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations post month-endSupporting statutory accounts preparation and meeting regulatory deadlinesResponding to external audit queries and ensuring robust financial controlsCollaborating with operational teams to enhance financial reporting and performanceDriving improvements in financial processes and controls

What we're looking for

Fully qualified accountant and registered with recognised accounting body, with 1-2 years post-qualification experienceStrong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlinesProactive, methodical approach with flexibility to support ad hoc tasksSolid knowledge of financial systems and proficiency in Microsoft OfficeConfident communicator who can challenge constructively and drive continuous improvement
