Description

Up for sale, I have a SuperSalas, British chromatic accordion.
It has 4 sets of treble reeds (LMMM), and is musette tuned.

Both the treble and bass have been tuned to A4 =443Hz. treble +26cents, -22cents.

It has 5 sets of bass reeds. The bass valves have been replaced and reeds tuned.
The treble valves would benefit from being replaced and the therefore, the reeds, retuned.
I can do this for a further £200, on request.

All the reed plates are pinned on to leather.

This accordion has been retaped at some point in the past but, has not been done in keeping with the radius on the ends, as featured in Supersalas accordions. This does not affect its playability.

This model has, 36 treble buttons and 80 Stradella bass buttons.
It is in excellent aesthetic and functional condition.

It is a British Chromatic accordion.
The treble rows are tuned B, C, C sharp.

The bass has a standard Italian Stradella bass system. It has 80 basses consisting of, 5 rows of buttons, counter bass, fundamental bass, major, minor and sevenths rows.

It has one coupler behind the treble keyboard, which operates the bassoon reeds (L).

It comes with a set of good quality, Borsini, Italian leather shoulder straps, and a hard case.

I have replaced the grill cloth.

Compression is excellent.

The accordion was made in Italy, by an excellent maker, circa 1940’s/50’s.
It is a quality instrument, using the finest of materials.

The treble keyboard is fast and quiet.

It weighs 8.8kg, 19.4lbs.

It has also been serviced with adjustments, replacements and cosmetic touches made where required.

If you are willing to arrange and pay for a courier, I will give a weight of the accordion for postage purpose’, where upon the buyer can arrange a courier to pick it up from my premises. I am prepared to pack the accordion free of charge, but I will not be liable for any damage that might occur in transportation. It is up to the individual whether they insure it or not.

Alternately, I can do the courier arrangements and packing for a flat rate of £30 (mainland UK), £50 N.I., £40 Highlands and Islands, this does not include insurance.
