NovaTutors | Online History, Modern Studies & Politics up to Advanced Higher | 3+ Years’ Experience

Description

Hi, I’m Rhona. I graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a high 2:1 in Social Anthropology (all A’s throughout), and I’m now studying for an MSc at the University of Aberdeen ahead of a PhD.

• Subjects: History (up to Higher), Modern Studies (up to Advanced Higher), Politics (Higher)
• Lessons: online, one-to-one
• Experience: 3+ years’ tutoring
• Includes: essay writing support, and university personal statement help

I take time to understand how each student learns and build the trust that lets them tell me what they find hard. From there I focus on the skills that lift grades: clear argument, strong essay structure and good exam technique.
My aim is to help students produce their best work and enjoy the subject while they do it.

What parents say:

Higher History & Modern Studies (5 stars)
“Rhona is a five-star tutor, extremely thorough and knowledgeable over 2 Higher subjects, History and Modern Studies. My son has completely turned his revision plan in the winning direction with Rhona’s assistance. Would highly recommend.”
– Nicola G, Parent

Higher History & Modern Studies (5 stars)
“Rhona tutored my daughter in Higher History and Modern Studies. Rhona was excellent in her tuition of both subjects. My daughter found her hugely supportive and thoughtful throughout the year with tips on how to study effectively and how to tackle the exam papers. Top grades were achieved which is a bonus (!)”
– Rebecca, Parent
