Description
I provide online mathematics and physics tuition across the transition from A-Level to university, including support with demanding first-year and later undergraduate modules.
I’m Nikola, a tutor with a PhD in theoretical physics and more than ten years of teaching experience. University courses often move quickly from familiar calculations to abstraction, proof, modelling and multi-step problems. One-to-one tuition creates space to unpack the notation, restore missing steps and connect the mathematics to the physical idea.
Support can follow a module or focus on a specific cluster of topics, including:
- Calculus, differential equations and mathematical methods
- Linear algebra, vector spaces and complex numbers
- Mechanics, electromagnetism and quantum physics
- Real and complex analysis
- Engineering and applied mathematics
- Revision for university examinations or resits
Lessons are taught live by video call with a graphics tablet, shared material and carefully chosen problems. Students receive the handwritten working as a PDF afterwards. The aim is not simply to finish one sheet, but to develop a method the student can apply independently.
I can explain the concepts and methods needed for assessed work while respecting university academic-integrity rules. Please send the module title, syllabus and representative material before booking so I can confirm that the content fits my expertise.
Rates: students up to age 18 — £40 for 45 minutes or £50 for 60 minutes. University students aged 18+ — £70 for 60 minutes.
You can contact me through Gumtree or on WhatsApp using the number shown in the contact field. Please include the course, university year, module and the topics you would like to cover. More information and testimonials are available through my website link.
