ABOUT THE BIKE

This is a mega bike for a new rider or commuter, with all the right gear you need to keep you safe on your ride and some sensible tech too. You won't find a better specced bike for this money, and Zontes have developed 14.5bhp from this engine, making it more powerful (by a long way) than most 125cc bikes too. Winner!

The perfect combination of design and comfort in a daily commuter, the ZT125-Z2 is packed with the technology found in other Zontes 125cc models and retains the optimum power output keeping it just within L Plate licence requirements.

High Compression Ratio Water-Cooled Motor
Running a high compression ratio of 12.5:1, the engine delivers 10.8kW @9000rpm. This puts the engine output and bike performance just within the limits of L Plate use in the UK. Another important feature of a high compression engine is low fuel consumption, an increasingly relevant feature in today’s World.
To achieve this Zontes utilise the latest materials and technologies available to design a class beating engine.

Slipper Clutch
Often seen in larger capacity, high performance models, Zontes introduce a slipper clutch to their latest 125cc models. The movement feels lighter in the hand and if a gear change is mis-timed so as engine and road speed differ hugely, the slipper clutch softens the blow. Unintentional wheel lock ups are avoided, mechanical shock lessened, and rider comfort and safety enhanced.

Centre Mount Mono Shock
A centrally mounted mono shock softens the ride whilst delivering excellent control. Filled with high pressure nitrogen to ensure stability over long journeys and set with a small amount of pre-load, the rear suspension offers excellent comfort with reduced rider fatigue.

Dual USB Port & Accessory Bar As Standard
Fitted with a twin port 2.1A fast charge USB socket, all your vital auxiliary devices can be connected and charged for additional convenience. Accessory bars with fitted crash bungs are supplied as standard for enhanced safety and protection.

LED Lighting
Automotive grade LED lights projected from compact light cells produces an outstanding illumination field of vision. The lamp unit is designed to dissipate heat to prolong LED life and reduce luminaire decay.

Dual Channel Bosch Abs
The dual-channel Bosch ABS system allows the rider to calmly control the motorcycle in any unexpected situation. The ABS system brings confidence under heavy braking, especially in adverse weather and on unstable road surfaces.

Large Diameter Brake Discs
300mm front brake discs provide huge stopping power and a linear feeling under braking.

Intelligent digital instrument with full LCD display
A clear concise LCD display collates all the information required in digital format. The display is clear in variable light conditions and is fed by an electronic wheel speed sensor.

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
A tyre pressure monitoring system connected to the LCD display ensures greater rider safety, reduced fuel consumption, and longer tyre life.

Electronic Seat Lock
Integrated into the central lock mechanism, the seat lock operates remotely for added convenience.

Stainless Steel Exhaust System
Discreetly under-slung, the full stainless steel exhaust system is designed for a long service life, with the exit pipe shrouded in a cool-touch cover to avoid burning you stylish riding kit.

Safety First
Crash bars and bungs fitted as standard, give your bike half a chance in the event of an unfortunate drop.

Rear Light
Sharp LED lighting at the rear ensures you are seen by other road users enhancing your safety.

Large Fuel Tank
Fitted with a 17 litre fuel tank, range anxiety won’t be your concern. Coupled to our powerful motor and frugal EFi system, this huge fuel tank is perfect for a daily commuter.

Rear Rack
Fitted with a rear rack as standard, either soft luggage or a hard top box can be fitted with ease. If luggage isn’t your thing, the central plate of the carrier is easily removed leaving two sporty pillion grabs.
