Very rare mid 80's Raleigh Super lightweight Steel Road Bike.

This bike can travel extremely well on Gravel. It's steel. So flexes. Free suspension in a flexible fork. Unlike Aluminium or Carbon. Which is the worst frame material for gravel. Bike companies will say it's a Gravel bike. But shoe companies sell Stiletto's as a shoe. Both you would not want to use for more than an hour.

You have to remember, that bike companies used to made bikes that were for a purpose, that worked well, and lasted a long time, with very little maintenance. Not for profit like today.

Lightweight steel frames are the most expensive bike material to build with today.

Not plastic (Carbon) or cheaply welded Aluminium in China..

Unlike a large aluminium frame, this is much stronger and lighter bike. Steel tubes are stronger but thinner. Aluminium has to be oversized as it's a weak metal. Add a tall guy to an aluminium bike, and the results are usually tragic. Many of my clients have horror stories with snapped frames.

Lightweight aluminium chainset and Rigida Wheelset.

It's made with Reynolds 501 tubing, only slightly heavier than 531, but with a very lightweight Groupset and Wheels, this bike is very lightweight. Steel bikes do not get much lighter than this

I cycled this from Euston to Elephant and Castle in 9 minutes. It's rapid. Perfect for city riding as it soaks up the bumps being steel. Making you faster.

This is an extremely rare bike, especially in this condition. You will not find a better one in the UK right now.

Fully serviced and ready to ride away. Most used bikes come with dry and rusty bearings, worn cassettes, stretched chains. Most bike shops charge £200+ to fix these common problems
All my bikes have been serviced with new bearings, grease, cables, chains, cassettes or any part that needs to be replaced where needed. Every buckle, every gear has been tuned. So each bike rides like new.
If you want a cheap used bike that has not been serviced, plenty out there. My bikes are not just cleaned. They are serviced, so expect an excellent bike.
