Beethoven's Egmont-Ouverture and Wagner's Isoldes Liebestod
Played by the Berlin Philharmoniker Orchestra conducted by Wilhelm Furtwangler
This 7 inch extended play recording was released by Deutsche Grammophon in 1960, Serial No. 30 540 EPL, part of Die Grossen ihrer Zeit series commemorating celebrated performers. The date is not stated but as the serial numbers either side are both 1960, it is reasonable to assume this is as well. It bears the classic yellow tulips label.
Sleeve notes on the back are in German, English and French.
The record has been recently played to ensure that it remains in very good condition, as is the cover, which has a Sellotape strip down the leading edge to protect it from fraying.
