Vauxhall Insignia (2010)2.0 CDTI running , MOT 07/12/2025

Description

Under a normal drive my car went into "limp mode" , no engine lights on but a "service vehicle soon" light came on along with the engines reduced power. The engine doesnt smoke and doesnt make any unwanted noises.
She still starts , 1st time everytime , sounds great on tickover and up to 3300 rpm but will only rev to around 3300 rpm. She will drive to 20mph ok and then pick up speed slowly from there, lacking power , still gets to 70 mph in" limp mode ", but is slow to get there...
I have scanned the car but no fault codes come up , i you tubed the service soon fault and concluded from you tube that the fault codes will be there but a basic scanner , like the one i have ,wont pick the fault codes up , if you have a better scanner , your welcome to use it.
Gearbox , smooth and works perfectly , no issues.
Clutch , smooth and works perfectly , no issues.
Brakes are also very good.
M.O.T 07th December 2025 , there were advisorys on last M.O.T , but nothing major .
19" wheels , tyres are all good with lots of tread and life left in them .
log book in my name , at my address , hpi clear .
owned for almost the last 4 years .
Some service history , last service (garage)December 2024 @ 166828 miles , oil/filter/air filter and fuel filter all replaced , along with new pads and discs on the front. current miles 175000
Now on sorn as no longer needed.
No spare wheel or tyre.
bodywork generally pretty good , some light scuffs and a lightish dent , see photos.
Pretty clean car in general , everything works as it should , daytime running lights need 2 new bulbs(inexpensive) , one light fitting is loose(possibly broken bracket)
