Description

For sale is my VW T5.1 2.0 TDi T28 camper/day van. I’ve owned it for the last 6 years and enjoyed every minute of owning it! But sadly the time has come to sell as I have barely used it this year and purchased a new truck. It has 181,000 on the clock, this will go up slightly as I use it at weekends. MOT till December 2025. It runs and drives well.

Inside it is fully lined carpeted with 4 spot lights in the roof and usb charging points, there is a sofa that pulls out into a bed, two bike fixing points on the floor for use with quick release, a leisure battery new last year along with the charger, and plenty of storage under the sofa bed. It has 3 seats up front and also I have separate passenger seat that will come with it so you can have 2 up instead of the 3. The drivers seat and spare passenger seat are from a golf I believe, these were put in prior to my ownership.

It comes with an Outdoor Revolution drive away awning that has a magnetic rail to fix to the roof as I didn’t want to have rail drilled into the side of the van. It is a air awning too, so no need to mess around with poles!

- cam belt and water pump, OS drive shaft and stub shaft, Sept 2019
- aux belt tensioner, Oct 2019
- gear cables, March 2020
- rear discs, pads and one calliper, front pads, intercooler, oil level sensor, Dec 2020
- clutch and dmf, gear linkage pivot, Oct 2021
- rear wheel bearings, front lower arms and lower ball joints, Aug 2022
- VMAXX coil over kit 70mm (ish) drop, top mount kit including bearing, anti roll bar links, Sept 2022
- new battery around Oct/Nov 2022
- tracking, July 2023

It has been serviced regularly, most recent oil and filter change July 2023, during my ownership and previously. There is plenty of history with the van, I would say virtually full. The engine was changed at around 123,000, this is detailed in the history file. When the engine was put in it had a stage 1 remap to approximately 190bhp, so it doesn’t hang around (for a van…)

The not so good part of the van is the bodywork, it could do with a little tidy up here and there… a few rust spots and paint peel. This was something I was going to do, but I just have the time to do it. The drivers side wind deflector rattles a little too. Please look at the pictures.
