Description
This is an upmarket Bush radio from the mid 1950s and is one of those fairly early sets to feature reception on the then-new VHF FM band. 8 valves including a magic eye tuning indicator and piano key band selection. I had always meant to restore this one but no longer have the interest. I do not advise plugging in old sets 'just to see if they work' but it looks to be completely original and I would think fairly easy to get it going. These sets have a good reputation among radio buffs and the VHF reception is said to be particularly good - which makes this more useful in practice than the usual Med/Long wave sets. The black bakelite case is in excellent condition.
