Warehouse assistant and relief 7.5 tonne Driver (split roll).

Description

Requirements:

Must have a digital TACHO card.

Minimum of 5 years driving experience preferred.

Fully CPC qualified.

Clean driving licence.

Experienced in general warehousing duties and using a forklift, including loading and unloading vehicles, picking and packing preferred but training will be given.

40 hour working week Monday to Friday.

Role & Duties:

The role is split between the main role of working in the warehouse and covering driver's holidays, along with occasional relief driving during busy periods.

Completing delivery and driver paperwork in an accurate and timely fashion.

Maintaining vehicles and equipment in line with established company standards.

To be able to work well within a team and maintain good communication throughout.

Complete and submit the required daily vehicle defect sheet.

Adhere to the EU tachograph regulations.

Most work is palletised, but some manual handling will be required in both roles.

Your day starts at 7am in the warehouse or to inspect and check your vehicle when driving is required, leaving the yard shortly afterwards. There are no minimum or maximum deliveries per day, but your daily duties will not in normal circumstances extend past 4pm

When driving is required, on returning to the yard you will be expected to help with the loading of vehicles ready for the next day, and if necessary help with other warehouse and production duties.

If you get caught in traffic and your day extends past 4pm, you will be given time off in lieu.
