Description

Right Now Group are working with a leading freight forwarder seeking a Transport Operations Manager. This role is pivotal in managing a team of planners and drivers, and ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Salary: GBP50,000 going up to GBP55,000 after successful completion of probationary period. Location: HeathrowShift: Monday-Friday 08:00-16:00 or 09:00 - 17:00

Key Duties: Manage a team of planners and drivers, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.Serve as the first point of contact for customers and main hauliersMaintaining strong communication and relationships.Oversee all aspects of transport operations, ensuring compliance with statutory and company safety standards, Lead, motivate, and develop planning teamsDrive operational efficiency by managing staff planning, setting clear objectives, and meeting key performance indicators Propose and implement operational changes to enhance performance and improve efficiency.Ensure ongoing development and training within the team Desirable: Minimum of 5 years within Transport/FreightProven ability to lead and develop teamsA confident and professional communicator, skilled at building relationships at all levels.Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to thrive in a competitive and fast-paced environment.Demonstrated ability to manage change effectively and work within an evolving organisation.Strong knowledge of compliance and safety standards within freight
