Kelly Group is currently looking to recruit the very best talent and have a unique opportunity for Experienced Telecoms Civils Operatives to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be working on our CityFibre contract.

In your role you will be responsible for:

Excavating in the highways and complying with NRSWA Code of Practice 1991 and HSG47

Installing new duct work and chambers

Clearing blockages

Rod, Rope and Testing

Compliance with Specification for Reinstatement of Openings in Highways (SROH)

Attending customer premises to introduce CityFibre services, to provide cables through underground networks from Fibre distribution points to customers properties

Liaising with customers to discuss all routing through their gardens before commencing activity.

Working in the CityFibre UG and PIA network whilst adhering to Health and Safety legislation, delivering 100% satisfaction to our customers.

Key Skills and Experience:

Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on your licence.

Experience on the CityFibre network.

Competent in the use of mechanical Civils equipment

Risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on Health and Safety practices.

Previous Telecoms experience

Experience within a hands on trade

Excellent customer service skills

Be motivated and be able to work independently as well be a team player.

Be comfortable and willing to work at heights when required.

Be comfortable and willing to work underground when required

Highway Excavation : Perform precise excavations in highways, ensuring strict compliance with the NRSWA Code of Practice 1991 and HSG47 regulations.

Duct Work : Install new ducting to industry standards.

Blockage Clearance : Proactively clear blockages to maintain efficient network operations.

Rod, Rope, and Testing : Execute rod and rope procedures and comprehensive testing.

Compliance Assurance : Adhere to the Specification for Reinstatement of Openings in Highways (SROH).

Customer Engagement : Visit customer premises to introduce CityFibre services, laying cables from distribution points to properties.

Consultative Approach : Communicate with customers to discuss excavation works on their property.

Safety First : Operate within the CityFibre UG and PIA network, ensuring all activities meet Health and Safety legislation for optimal customer satisfaction.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Full UK Driving Licence : Held for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points.

CityFibre Network Experience : Demonstrated expertise on the CityFibre network.

Openreach / PIA Experience : Have experience of working on the Openreach network.

Mechanical Civils Equipment : Proficiency in using mechanical civils tools and equipment.

Health and Safety : Strong risk assessment skills, hazard identification, and a commitment to Health and Safety practices.

Telecoms Background : Proven hands-on experience in the telecoms industry.

Customer Service Excellence : Ability to provide top-notch customer service.

Self-Motivation and Teamwork : Capable of working independently as well as collaborating effectively with team members.
