HQ South or Southampton

£450.00 per day – Outside IR35

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our client, a policing organisation, supporting the delivery and management of critical network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day operation and control of Wide Area and Local Area network infrastructure.

Monitoring network traffic loads and performance using management tools to ensure agreed service levels.

Identifying and resolving operational problems, implementing network changes, and performing maintenance routines.

Producing reports and proposals to support service delivery improvements.

Acting as a subject matter expert, coaching and mentoring other engineers to ensure best practice across the technical team.

Essential Skills & Experience

Strong technical expertise in networking, with hands-on experience in:

Checkpoint

Fortinet

Cisco

Solarwinds

Ivanti Pulse

Excellent understanding of networking protocols and standards.

Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, non-technical language.

Recognised IT networking qualification (or equivalent experience).

Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.

Rate: £450.00 per day (Outside IR35)

Location: HQ South or Southampton

Flexibility to travel between sites as required – full UK driving licence essential.
