Senior Electrical / Avionics Engineer – EASA Part 21

Location: Frimley, Surrey (Hybrid)

A leading aerospace engineering organisation is seeking a Senior Electrical / Avionics Engineer to join their EASA Part 21J Design Organisation. This role focuses on supporting the certification of large aircraft modifications for global airline clients, ensuring compliance with EASA and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and contribute to the design of electrical and avionic systems for aircraft modifications. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including on–wing test witnessing. Produce and check technical documentation such as wiring diagrams, installation drawings, service bulletins, and ICA supplements. Compile and review certification documents, including load analysis, compliance statements, and system safety reports. Represent the company in design and customer meetings (ITCM, PDR, CDR, FAI). Provide on–site support during project embodiment phases. Collaborate with global engineering teams across multiple time zones. Requirements:

Degree in Electrical/Avionics, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering. At least 5 years' experience in an EASA Design Organisation (or equivalent). Strong knowledge of EASA CS–25/JAR–25/FAR–25 regulations for electrical/avionics systems. Experience in large and complex aircraft modification projects. Previous or current Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) status is advantageous. Skilled in prioritising multiple programmes and mentoring junior engineers. Additional Information:
