RT Consulting is a Silver ERS Armed Forces Covenant SME with over 15 years’ experience delivering transformation across Defence, Government, Policing, and Transport. We are expanding our consultant network to support a major Defence framework in partnership with Amentum.

Our consultants work on some of the UK’s most complex and high-profile programmes, providing the structure, insight, and governance needed for successful delivery.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager (Level 3) to provide cost, schedule, and risk management support to a high-profile Defence transformation programme. You will ensure robust controls are in place to monitor performance, manage change, and deliver the programme to time, cost, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain the integrated master schedule, cost forecasts, and risk registers.

* Monitor programme performance and report on progress against key milestones and budgets.

* Support change control processes, ensuring impacts are assessed and documented.

* Produce regular reports, dashboards, and variance analyses for senior stakeholders.

* Ensure compliance with MOD and programme governance standards.

* Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and other workstream leads to maintain delivery discipline.

Qualifications & Experience

* Proven experience in project controls, planning, or cost/schedule management within Defence, Government, or other complex programmes.

* Proficiency with project controls tools and techniques (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Earned Value Management).

* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data.

* Knowledge of risk management principles and tools.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

* Must hold active SC Clearance.

Contract Details

* Duration: 12 months (4 x 3-month stages) – strong potential for extension

* Location: Clyde, with hybrid working arrangements – x2/3 days per week on site.

* Start Date: December 2025 / January 2026
