About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Licensing Enforcement Officer to join a local authority in South East England for an initial 3-month period. This role involves ensuring compliance with licensing laws and regulations, including taxi licensing, alcohol licensing, and premises licensing, helping to maintain safety and legal standards within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct inspections and investigations to monitor compliance with licensing requirements.

Engage with license holders, businesses, and the public to provide guidance and resolve issues.

Take appropriate enforcement actions including issuing warnings, notices, and preparing cases for prosecution where necessary.

Collaborate with internal teams, law enforcement, and external partners to support licensing objectives.

Maintain accurate records and prepare reports to support decision-making and legal processes.
