LGV Class 1 Day & Night

Description

Driverlink Training are currently recruiting 4 full time permanent Class 1 HGV Day Drivers & 4 full time permanent night drivers due to 2 x new contract wins.

Experience is preferred but we will consider all candidates and for the right person a training plan may be put together.

Shift patterns are 4 on 4 off with starts times varying from 04:00 - 08:00 with occasional nights out. Night shift vary from 14:00 - 20:00 starts.

Salary is GBP15.60 per hour days, all hours. New passes will be considered but rates of pay will reflect.

Key Responsibilities:

To deliver Third Party products to specified locations, ensuring correct paperwork for the delivery. To include General Haulage, store deliveries & Container work. Full training will be provided.

Always adhere to Tachograph and WTD rules and regulations

Observe and adhere to company policies and procedures, including all aspects of SSOWs, health & safety, and hygiene

Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office

Responsible for the accurate, timely movement of deliveries

Ensuring compliant load securing (as per training)

Ensuring absolute compliance in vehicle checks and defect reporting (as per training)

Adhering to safe working practice to always ensure the safety of yourself and others

Achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the company

Any other duties as reasonably required

Successful candidates must have:

Valid Class 1 Licence (CE)

Valid Digital Tachograph card

Valid DQC (Driver CPC)

NO DD or IN codes on your licence for insurance purposes.

Excellent knowledge of Tachograph and working time directive rules (Training will be given to new drivers)

Good geographical knowledge (route maps are provided)

Excellent customer service skills

Great time keeping skills
