This is an excellent opportunity to work at the heart of a dynamic, forward-thinking council. You’ll be managing high-impact projects ranging from policy development and procurement to digital transformation and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Lead and coordinate a wide variety of HR-related projects, ensuring timely delivery aligned with business strategy.
*
Develop HR programmes to support the Council’s evolving workforce needs.
*
Manage cross-functional internal teams, budgets, and stakeholder relationships.
*
Assess project risks and develop contingency plans where needed.
*
Analyse people data to inform decision-making and strategy.

Coordinate resources, project plans, and team priorities across the wider HR function.
*
Prepare reports, dashboards, and proposals for senior leadership.
*
Champion projects internally through effective communication and collaboration.
About You:

Proven experience delivering HR or workforce-related projects, ideally in a public sector or local authority setting.
*
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Analytical and research-driven with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
*
Confident in managing project lifecycles from initiation through to delivery and evaluation.
*
Passionate about modernising and improving HR practices.
