HGV Technician

Location: Nottingham

Salary: GBP42,(Apply online only) – GBP52,(Apply online only)

Hours: Monday to Friday, alternating shifts: 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm

Shifts: Alternate Saturdays 6am to 12pm paid at overtime rate

This is a great opportunity to join a busy Nottingham depot, where you'll be maintaining commercial vehicles and trailers to MOT standards.

Responsibilities of an HGV Technician

Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailersDiagnose and repair mechanical faults to VOSA standardsAttend breakdowns at roadside or customer sitesCommunicate with the parts team to source required partsComplete job cards and service sheets accurately and on timeFollow all health and safety procedures and depot policiesKeep your work area and vehicles clean and tidyStay up to date with product knowledge and attend training as required Requirements for an HGV Technician

Essential

Relevant technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3) or time–served experienceStrong mechanical knowledge across HGVs and trailersFull UK driving licenceAwareness of health and safety in a workshop environmentAbility to meet deadlines and work under pressureTeam player with good communication and problem–solving skills Desirable
