HGV Driver

Description

We are currently seeking an experienced permanent HGV Driver to join our client's busy team in Hastings. As an HGV Driver you will be responsible for ensuring the safe delivery of goods, as well as supervising the loading and unloading of the vehicles and providing an excellent customer service.

Main Duties

Ensuring goods are safely secured and delivered on timeSupervising loading and unloading of the vehicleEnsuring that on arrival the delivery is safe to make and respect customer's propertyChecking goods off with customers and obtaining signaturesProviding excellent customer service at all timesCarrying out multi-drop deliveries in a timely and safe mannerPlanning routes and meeting delivery schedules, including overnight stops if neededLooking after the vehicle and ensuring that it is not subjected to unnecessary damageDriving within the tachograph law and driver hours limitsReporting any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the company's accident reporting procedureComplying with all company policies and proceduresTaking pride in working to the highest standards and be a great ambassador for the company Experience/Qualifications

Holds a HGV driving licence valid in the UK, with no more than 6 points on Licence Possess a minimum of 1 years' experience at HGV 1 or 2Strong experience and knowledge of national deliveriesBe able to deliver a high level of customer serviceMust be able to do the occasional night out Holds a CPC LicenceHolds a Digi Tacho CardMust have experience driving a 26 Tonne vehicleGood personal presentation Working Hours

Mondays to FridaysWorking hours between 04.00 to 18.00, depending on deliveries Additional Information
