HGV Class 2 Driver

Job Summary

Corr Recruitment are seeking Class 2 drivers for our client based in Swindon, for multi–drop delivery. 4–6am start – 10hr shifts plus possible overtime on the daily basis. Pay is 15.5 p/hr. Any overtime on a daily basis will be paid 23.25p/h.

Duties

Operate and drive lorries in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre–trip and post–trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all safety protocols while on the road and during loading/unloading processes. Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to management. Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (C or C+E) with a clean driving record (no more than 6 pts). Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting heavy items when necessary. Safety boots, High Viz, Dark Plain Clothing.
