Production Operative (Nights) - DS Smith Packaging, Launceston

DS Smith Packaging is looking for a Production Operative to join our team in Launceston. This is a great opportunity for someone with existing production experience, though we will provide full training to the right candidate.

This is a full-time, 3-month contract role with the potential for extension. We need someone who can start as soon as possible, following a successful interview and onboarding process.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain machinery and equipment in our manufacturing facility.

Ensure all work is carried out in line with our Safe Standard Operating Procedures (SSOW) and UK Health and Safety legislation.

Perform routine safety checks and basic maintenance on machinery.Shifts & Pay:

Weekday Nights: Monday to Thursday (10 PM - 6 AM) and Friday (4 PM - 9 PM)

Weekend Nights: Friday to Saturday (9 PM - 6 AM) and Sunday (6 PM - 6 AM)

Pay: £16.41 per hour for weekends (up to 37.5 hours), with an overtime rate of £24.62 per hour after 8 hours per day and on Saturdays.Essential Requirements:

Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Strong understanding of UK Health and Safety legislation and SSOW.
