HGV Class 2 Driver

Direct Transportation is a fast growing company who believe service and flexibility are key in being successful in a highly competitive industry. We are looking for a class 2 driver on our General Haulage operation driving a 26t gross curtain sided rigid. The work will be highly varied and we are looking for someone who is keen and has a can do attitude as well as being able to work on their own initiative in a safe responsible manner. There will be nights away possibly one to two per week depending on requirement.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Delivery of goods to Customers - providing excellent customer service

Supervise the loading of their vehicle.

Ensure with the loader that the load is correct

Call the customer before delivery

Check goods off with customers

Carry out multi-drop deliveries in a timely and safe manner

Complete vehicle daily inspection sheet

Willing to perform any duties as may be deemed necessary the Company.

Drive within the tachograph laws/driver hours and Working Time limits

To operate the crane safely and in accordance with the correct procedures and all Health & Safety procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: GBP30,000.00-GBP40,000.00 per year
