The Albex Group (Kent Foods Limited) are looking for a HGV Class 2 Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our team at our new state of the art facility in London Gateway, Stanford-le-hope.

The successful candidate will be working on behalf of Cheese Greek and its customers, Cheese Geek being a part of Kent Foods Limited/The Albex Group. The candidate will provide first class service along with our team in London Gateway. This role is based on a basic 48 hour week working Monday to Friday. The role will be a mixed role, consisting of driving and warehouse duties.

Cheese Geek supply first class cheese ingredients to both the food retailing & food hospitality industries, and we are looking for a hard-working dedicated driver/warehouse operative to join our team.

The position will primarily involve multi-drop deliveries driving 7.5 tonne vehicle(s) and will require handballing of goods from vehicle to customer's shop/store on some occasions, and also days fulfilling warehouse duties.

There may be some driving requirement to backfill on the businesses 26T Class 2 Rigid Vehicle operation when required.

Cheese Geek prides itself on exceptional customer service, therefore as an ambassador for the company, good communication and interpersonal skills are key skill requirements of the role.

7.5T DRIVER DUTIES

Load your vehicle safely and within legislation

Deliver goods to our customers safely, efficiently and on time

Ensure security of the vehicle and goods contained during transit to customer

Complete all documentation as per company procedure

Keep the vehicle safe, clean and tidy

Adhere to company procedures and policies

WAREHOUSE DUTIES

Picking stock

Making up orders;

Loading and unloading of vehicles;

General housekeeping duties within the warehouse;

Operating our fork lifts.

7.5T DRIVER REQUIREMENTS

Valid Category C1 Drivers License

Valid Transport DCPC & Digi Card

A detailed understanding of the rules and regulation around drivers' hours

Physically fit to meet the demands of a multi-drop driving role

Hardworking, positive mindset and a flexible attitude to work

No previous disqualifications for NI, DD or DR
