Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to navigate various routes effectively. We are a family-owned business carrying out nationwide haulage work, including general transport and Amazon loads. This job listing is open to both Ltd company drivers and PAYE drivers on a fixed day rate.

The working pattern includes five days per week with 2-3 nights out. Shifts last around 13 hours daily. Drivers will earn GBP220 per day worked, along with a GBP30 night out allowance tax-free. Wages are paid weekly. Fuel cards, assigned modern automatic trucks, and secure parking are provided. Occasional light unloading may occur.

Duties

Operate curtain side lorries for the transportation of goods to various locations.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.

Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.

Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.

Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the lorry.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving min 3 years, with a valid HGV licence.

Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.

Ability to drive long distances and manage time efficiently for deliveries.

Experience as a delivery driver is advantageous, particularly with flatbed lorries.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members.
