Description
We are looking for HGV Class 1 drivers for a client based in Cullompton for Mon till Friday work. Work on days starts between 0500 and 0600 and consists of 3 to 5 drops for Class 1 and 8 to 10 for Class 2 drivers. No handball involved as you are offloaded on sites.
Client is holding assessments next week (26 till 29/08) and can offer at least 2 months of ongoing work 5 days a week – possibly longer and ongoing for interested workers.
Night work is trunking and involves starting between 1700 and 1900; also no handball.
If working 5 days you will average 50 hours per week paid as below:
HGV Class 1 and 2 days – 18
HGV Class 1 nights – 19
Ideally we would like the drivers to be happy to work on both Class 1 and 2 vehicles as this maximizes opportunity for ongoing work due to vehicle availability on day work. Client requires ideally at least 1 year of holding category and valid driving experience. First, an assessment needs to be arranged for a driver and if successful they can start work.
Our ideal driver:
– Will have no more than 6 points on full UK Licence, CPC and Tacho card
– Will have a good understanding of Tacho laws and driving regulations
– Will have some previous HGV driving experience (ideally over 1 year for day work and 6 months for nights)
– Will have a positive attitude
