We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role is vital in maintaining our commitment to excellent service and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Operate a lorry in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.

Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working order and report any maintenance issues.

Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage during transit.

Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times while considering road conditions and restrictions.

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked, mileage, and fuel consumption.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.

Ensure the lorry is kept clean and well-maintained at all times.

Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driving Licence (CDL) or equivalent for operating a lorry.

Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.

Familiarity with flatbed transport is advantageous but not essential.

Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving.

Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.

Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.

Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
