Full Job Description

Joseph James Furniture Outlet is looking for skilled Technicians and Upholsterers with a genuine passion for problem-solving and delivering high-quality repairs.

You'll be working both in our Stockport warehouse and occasionally on the road , visiting customers' homes to carry out a variety of furniture repairs. We are committed to delivering excellent service, so all work must be completed to the highest standards.

Main Furniture Categories You'll Work On:

Upholstery (sofas, chairs, etc.)

Dining Furniture

Beds and Mattresses

Typical Repair Tasks:

Disassemble and reassemble sofas to fit into customer homes when access is difficult

Repair broken recliner mechanisms

Fix fabric and leather damage

Repair extending mechanisms on dining tables

Restore wood or ceramic scuffs and scratches

Deep clean upholstery

What We're Looking For:

Strong technical repair skills

A problem-solving mindset

High attention to detail

Professionalism and good customer service

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Must have a valid driving licence

Tools:

You'll need to provide most of your own tools to start with. As your role develops, we're happy to invest in additional equipment to support your work.
